The HEIMA ProTEC® System of Structural Insulated Concrete Panels (SIP) offers an efficient, strong, comfortable, and environmentally friendly product. HEIMA ProTEC® is the solution for modern civil construction, concerned with the environment, cost reduction, energy rationalization, and the thermal and acoustic comfort of users.

Because it is self-supporting, the HEIMA ProTEC® dry construction system does not require additional structures, thus drastically reducing construction time and material waste on construction sites. When installed, the panels are ready to receive the internal and external finishes applicable to masonry or concrete constructions.

The panels are prepared for electric pipes, increasing the efficiency and quality of the work. Because this tubing is completely encapsulated in the panel, there is no infiltration of air, which consequently provides more comfort to the property.

In the HEIMA ProTEC® Building System, each panel performs the functions of structure, closure, and thermal insulation, both when used as external walls and when used as internal walls. Once installed, the panels are ready for final finishing. Pre-installed electro-hydraulic piping reduces construction time, prevents infiltration, and provides continuous thermal insulation. This means superior finishing, greater comfort, and lower cost.

Due to the humidity, the appearance of mold is often a problem. However, with the HEIMA ProTEC® System, this is no longer a concern. Unlike steel frame, HEIMA ProTEC® uses only components that are unaffected by moisture, resulting in a superior barrier to mold and bacteria.

The HEIMA ProTEC® System was designed with the objective of solving major challenges facing the construction industry: shortage of skilled labor, variation in material quality, air infiltration, and moisture in buildings. It also provides greater energy efficiency, not only during the construction process, but also when the building is occupied.

High-quality materials with certification seal

The thermal panels are fitted together and connected by galvanized steel profiles and screws. High-density EPS receives flame-retardant treatment. Util-A-Crete® concrete slabs, like EPS and steel profiles, do not deteriorate with moisture, nor are they attacked by insects and pests. With a density of 32Kg/m³, the EPS of the ProTEC® panel is a high-efficiency rigid insulator that maintains its characteristics unchanged. In addition, it resists moisture absorption and vapor transmission, eliminating the need to install costly additional barriers.

Unlike the drywall system, the Util-A-Crete® concrete plate is composed of lightweight concrete, wrapped in fiberglass mesh. Tests prove that Util-A-Crete® resists mold and moisture for more than 25 years. It provides an impact-resistant surface, both on its external and internal side. With the Util-A-Crete® concrete plates, HEIMA ProTEC® panels are ready for final finishing. The joints of the internal surfaces are treated with fiberglass mesh and putty. The interior wall can receive a coat of putty, followed by painting. The finishes for the exterior walls are unlimited, such as texture, brick, stucco, stone, and sidings.

The HEIMA ProTEC® Building System offers design flexibility and ease of construction. A lean assembly crew, using simple tools, can install the walls in a small fraction of the time required in traditional construction. This translates into predictability of deadlines, adherence to schedules, and reduced construction cycles. HEIMA ProTEC® panels, in their standard version, are prefabricated with two ducts, each two inches long, for electrical wiring and hydraulic piping. To make the installation process even easier, the fittings for the electrical outlets can be factory cut. Works executed with HEIMA ProTEC® Structural Insulated Concrete Panels are efficient, robust, resistant, and sustainable.
