Made with durable Portland cement, alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh and lightweight aggregates, HEIMA Util-A-Crete® cementitious board is a high-quality base for ceramic tiles and other cladding materials used for walls, ceilings, floors, countertops and facades. HEIMA Util-A-Crete® is non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and, unlike traditional asbestos cement board, it is asbestos-free and non-combustible.
With compressive strength of ≥2600 psi (ASTM D 2394) and flexural strength of ≥1500 psi (ASTM C 947), HEIMA Util-A-Crete® board is proven to be the strongest backing board in the industry – ideal for high-impact areas such as halls, kitchens, bathrooms, and service areas.
Unlike drywall and wood-based products, HEIMA Util-A-Crete® board is unaffected by water, moisture or steam and will not deteriorate, warp or rot. On the contrary, its hardness and strength increase over time. This makes it suitable for areas constantly exposed to water, such as spas, saunas, and indoor pools.
